This is a great hat, and definitely keeps the sun off - but hard to keep on if you're on the water and it's windy! Have to use the strap - which you can - and it is big enough,to really cover esp on the back of the neck.

Cute hat and functional too! Velcro makes it adjustable; the hole in the back is perfect for ponytails; wide brim protects your face AND neck; 100% cotton meant I didn't overheat even when I wore it hiking for several hours. I wear this hat every day!
